Hate, Hope & Citizenship: Four Years Without Junaid

Original video here.

Junaid Khan, a 15-year-old Qur’an hafiz from Mewat, Haryana, with dreams of becoming an Imam at the Jama Masjid, was on his way back home with Eid gifts when he was murdered by a Hindutva lynch mob on 22nd June 2017. His murderers are out on bail and have been propagating calls for further killings at the recently held mahapanchayat in Haryana proving that the lynching of Muslims has become systemic in India.

On the fourth anniversary of Junaid’s martyrdom, StriveUK invites you for the premiering of a short documentary “Hate, Hope & Citizenship: Four Years Without Junaid” produced by students of Jamia Millia followed by a panel discussion to commemorate lynching victims and to keep remembering Junaid on.
